We want everyone who comes through our door to feel at ease: little ones at their first check-up, adults who feel nervous about the dentist, and anyone who simply needs things done a little differently. Children are very welcome

We love seeing kids, from their very first visit onwards. We take things at their pace, explain each step in a gentle, friendly way and use child-friendly techniques to help them feel relaxed and confident. Kids' shows on our ceiling TVs help too.

Free for eligible children under the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS). Eligible children are bulk billed.
Special children's pricing is applied automatically for all other children aged 17 and under.

Can I come into the treatment room with my child?

Yes, you can. In many cases, though, children actually do better coming in on their own, so we suggest touching base with us when you arrive and we can decide together. Some children do better with a parent beside them, but many parents are surprised by how well their child does on their own. If you're feeling a little anxious yourself, waiting in the waiting room can be best, and we'll see how things go on the day.

The treatment room is a working clinical space, so we keep it calm and free of distractions while we work. Your child's safety always comes first, and our aim is a safe and pleasant visit for them.

Something calming to look at

Lie back and escape for a while. Our ceiling TVs play relaxing travel videos, from tropical beaches to palm-lined pools, and we can put on kids' shows for our younger patients. It's a simple thing, but it helps many people feel more at ease in the chair.

If you feel nervous about the dentist

Dental anxiety is really common, and you're very welcome here. Whether it's been years since your last visit or you just feel a little uneasy, our friendly staff and caring, attentive clinicians will welcome you with kindness and understanding. Whatever condition your teeth are in, you can feel comfortable with us. We'll listen first, explain everything clearly and go at a pace that suits you.

Autism spectrum, sensory needs and disability

People with disabilities, people on the autism spectrum and anyone with sensory needs are very welcome at Borsos Dental. Small changes can make a big difference, and we're happy to make them. For example, we can:

lower the lights in the treatment room
put on relaxing music
allow extra appointment time, so nothing feels rushed
talk with you, or your family member or carer, about anything else that would help.

If there's something that makes a visit easier for you or your child, please tell us. We'll do our best to make it happen.

Wheelchair access

Our clinic is wheelchair accessible, with ample free parking on site. Most standard wheelchairs fit easily through our doors, and for larger wheelchairs our waiting room's double doors can be opened wide. Surgery 1, our bright, white treatment room, also has large glass double doors that open straight onto the car park, so we can bring you directly inside from outside. Just contact us before your visit and we'll help arrange it. If in doubt, we're happy to measure the space.

The easiest way to make sure everything is ready is to tell us before you arrive. When you book, mention any needs or preferences, such as extra time, lower lights, music, wheelchair access or how your child likes to be supported. Coming from out of town? We frequently have patients travelling to see us. Please let our receptionist know, as we may be able to schedule more time so you can get more done in one visit.
