Dental Treatments and Fees
Our dental treatments
From a routine check-up to a tooth that's suddenly giving you trouble, we look after families from Colac, Elliminyt, Birregurra, Camperdown, Apollo Bay and surrounds with gentle, unhurried care. Whether you just need something fixed or you're planning ahead, we'll explain your options and the cost before any treatment, so you can choose what feels right for you.
Check-ups and cleans
Regular visits help us spot small problems early, while they're simpler to fix.
| Treatment | Indicative fee |
|---|---|
| Check-up (includes any required intraoral X-rays) | $120 |
| Professional clean | usually $110 |
| Check-up and clean (includes any required intraoral X-rays) | usually $230 |
Children's check-ups are free for eligible kids under Medicare CDBS. See comfortable care for everyone.
Please note: all fees are indicative and may vary depending on individual needs and treatment complexity. Any additional cleaning or treatment costs will be discussed with you beforehand.

White fillings
We use tooth-coloured composite, so fillings blend in with your natural teeth. $200–$750, depending on size and complexity. Small fillings cost less, and extensive build-ups cost more. You can see some of our white filling work, including a chipped baby tooth repaired, on our home page.
Tooth extractions
Sometimes a tooth can't be saved, and we'll take extra care to keep you comfortable. Most simple extractions are around $350. Surgical or more complex extractions cost a little more (up to around $950), and we'll always talk you through the cost before we begin.
Dental emergencies
Toothache, a broken tooth or a swelling? Call us on 03 5231 6079 and we'll do our best to help. An emergency consult is $120, including any X-rays needed.

Root canal treatment and crowns
We provide root canal treatment and other restorative care. For more complex cases, such as difficult molars, we can arrange a referral to a specialist. After root canal treatment, a crown can help protect and strengthen the tooth. We also provide crowns (including zirconia ceramic and gold crowns) and bridges, quoted individually after a consultation.

Night guards for grinding and clenching
Grinding and clenching can wear down and damage teeth over time. Our custom-made nylon night guards are very thin and more comfortable to wear than traditional night guards, helping protect your teeth while you sleep.
Dentures and tooth replacement options
Thinking about a denture can feel like a big step, and it's completely normal to have mixed feelings about it. A denture consult ($120, including any X-rays needed) is a gentle, no-pressure chance to talk it through. We'll look at your teeth and gums, hear what matters to you, and explain the options, which might include:
- a partial plate (partial denture) to replace one or more missing teeth while keeping the natural teeth you still have
- a full denture to replace all the teeth in your upper or lower jaw
- crowns or a bridge, which can be an option for some gaps.
We'll also help you work out whether you're ready to make that transition. Some people want to keep their own teeth for as long as they can, and others feel ready for a change. We'll give you an honest picture of your teeth, and the decision is always yours. Partial and full dentures are made through referral to Shyne Denture Clinic.
Safe, clean and professional
Every treatment follows strict infection control. We follow the ADA's (Australian Dental Association) infection control guidelines.
